Owner, Britany Michelle, fell in love with texture when she stopped relaxing her hair back in October 2010. She later developed an all-natural line of hair and body butters in January 2013, and decided to seriously pursue a career in the beauty industry by enrolling at the Aveda Institute in Sept 2013. Through attending cosmetology school, Britany realized the extreme lack of education for textured hair. Inspired and determined, the Bebe Michelle brand was developed and Britany later opened her own hair studio: 'Bebe Michelle' in less than one year of graduating Cosmetology School in July 2015.
Bebe Michelle has held educational seminars encouraging and teaching women with textured hair in cities like New York, El Paso and Miami; for brands like Carol’s Daughter, Naturals In The Sun and Haute Kinky Hair (seen in Essence Magazine); has published work featured in Athlete’s Quarterly and Bijoux Magazine, and done photo shoots for Wilhelmina Models.
